As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, conducting worship services and performing religious rites. You will be an essential presence during both joyful and challenging times, fostering morale and spiritual well-being among service members.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, and baptisms
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and their families
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a registered religious faith organization
