Job Description
Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions. Collaborate in an interdisciplinary approach and play a vital role in patients' recovery and education.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations establishing individualized goals
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Seeks interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Supervises affiliated students
Participates in continuing education courses
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows-based programs like Word, Outlook, and Excel
Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites
