Key Responsibilities
Assumes principal responsibility for total care of assigned patients
Conducts assessments and establishes nursing diagnoses
Formulates and implements written plans of care
Provides health care training and education to patients/families
Supervises other licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel
Maintains optimal standards of nursing care
Required Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing
Current BLS certification
Previous experience in acute care hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of experience in ER
Ability to function in stressful situations
