Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Towson, MD 21204 (Baltimore County, Maryland)
• Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry – Oncology (40-bed unit)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (option for 10 weeks starting 1/17/2026)
• Start Dates: 12/15/2025 (13 weeks) or 1/17/2026 (10 weeks)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1790-$1920
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Patient Population: Adolescents (Tanner score >4), Adults, Geriatrics
• Floating: Required within specialty and to lower acuity units
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: As scheduled
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact State RN license (required at submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only), NIHSS, and CPI certifications required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
• Two professional references required (one supervisor/manager, one charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (travel nurse requirement)

RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry and Oncology patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage IVs, central lines, and chest tubes
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CVA, renal failure, substance withdrawal, and post-surgical needs
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and manage feeding tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Float to other nursing units within specialty and lower acuity as needed
• Participate in rapid response/code teams as required
• Document patient care accurately using Epic (preferred)
