Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician, ensuring our outside facilities operate at peak efficiency. Utilize your construction knowledge to maintain, install, and improve our network infrastructure while working within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging, and removing outside plant including cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
