Key Responsibilities
Collects health status data from patients and communicates it to healthcare providers
Follows through on the patient’s plan of care
Communicates provider’s instructions for care to patients or caregivers
Participates in care across all phases of preventative care and treatment
Obtains vital signs and prepares patients for examinations
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a healthcare setting
