Job Description
CEDARS-SINAI is seeking a Supervisor for Comparative Medicine Operations to oversee logistics, equipment, and personnel training. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing staff performance, and maintaining operational efficiency in a vital research environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage operations technicians
Develop and maintain training programs for staff
Ensure compliance with regulations and safety procedures
Create and maintain documentation including SOPs and safety procedures
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
Oversee quality assurance programs
Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Assistant Laboratory Animal Tech (ALAT) certification or eligible within 90 days
Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) certification or eligible within 1 year
California Drivers License
5 years of experience in laboratory animal science, cage washing and vivarium logistics
2 years of leadership experience in an AAALAC accredited facility
