Job Description

Join FM as an Accountant IV in Accounts Payable, where you'll play a vital role in managing day-to-day accounts payable operations and providing insightful financial analysis. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for key accounts payable processes and controls
  • Ownership of expenditure approval workflow maintenance
  • Review and approve vendor additions/changes and vouchers prior to payment
  • Conduct periodic monitoring for compliance with departmental policies
  • Ensure timely preparation of audit deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and year-end reporting requirements
  • Action inquiries and informational requests of varying complexity
  • Participate as subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams
  • Provide support to the Controllers and Financial Planning & Analysis groups
  • Lead departmental projects and initiatives
  • Support maintenance and reporting of fixed assets

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Sound understanding of accounts payable and general ledger transaction flow
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong ownership and follow-through skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA)
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Professional work experience as an Accountant in a mid-to-large corporate environment
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft
