Key Responsibilities
Obtain accurate and updated patient information
Perform insurance verification on the date of service
Obtain patient signatures for required documents
File and maintain medical records
Confirm and schedule appointments
Follow the Cash Security policy and procedures
Perform referral documentation promptly
Schedule specialist and follow-up appointments for patients
Work cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goals
Provide effective communication to patients and healthcare professionals
Comply with administrative policies to ensure quality of care
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency (multi-tasking through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience working in medical front office/Urgent Care position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
Knowledge of Medical terms
