Job Description
Join Disney as a Senior Facility Systems Technical Specialist, where you'll design and implement control systems for the Resort's HVAC and energy management. Utilize your engineering expertise to enhance operational efficiency and support Disneyland's facility systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, documentation, and sustainment of automation and controls systems
Interpret engineering documentation for project and sustainment work
Design and build control panels to UL 508A
Complete required projects and support maintenance work without delays
Provide timely communication and status updates to team and partners
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience building controls systems panels or related equipment
Strong analytical/problem solving skills
Ability to interpret P&IDs, Sequence of Operations, and drawings for EMS and BMS
Experience in wiring, troubleshooting, and testing Programmable Logic Controllers, VFDs, and instrumentation
Knowledge and experience designing in CAD
Understanding of wire from schematics and electrical shop practices
Understanding of system-level considerations and basic mechanical principles
Knowledge of various electrical circuits and instrumentation
Electrical troubleshooting skills
Basic programming skills in ladder logic or structured text
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs and/or Carrier Comfort Controllers
Understanding of communication technologies/protocols: Bacnet, TCP/IP, Modbus
Control system theory experience
Fail-safe and safety-related software design and wiring
Experience with monitoring electrical power distribution and energy management
Experience with large multi-building campuses and system-wide facility controls integration
