Registered Nurse – Critical Care (Travel Assignment)
Location– Phoenix, AZ

Shift: Any (3x12s, 36 hrs/week)

 

Position Summary

The client is seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses for an 11-week travel assignment within the Staffing Resource Critical Care unit. The RN will provide high-quality, family-centered care for pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced interventions across multiple campuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based critical care nursing to pediatric patients in high-acuity units.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, recognizing and responding promptly to changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ventilator support in collaboration with the care team.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Float as needed between Phoenix Children’s Hospital campuses (Main, Avondale, Arrowhead).
• Maintain compliance with infection control, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (State of Arizona or Compact).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care RN experience , with pediatric ICU strongly preferred.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS required.
• Previous experience in Level III/IV NICU or Pediatric Critical Care highly desirable.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Details

• Shift: Any, 12-hour shifts (3x12s per week).
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: As scheduled per hospital needs.

• Orientation: Conducted at Main Campus.
