Job Description
Become a Transit Security Officer at Community Transit and help ensure the safety of customers and employees. You'll engage with the public, enforce policies, and respond to security incidents while benefiting from comprehensive training and generous compensation.
Key Responsibilities
Engaging with the public in a culturally sensitive manner
Fare and policy enforcement
Educating riders about Rules of Conduct
Performing regular patrols
Managing security monitoring and communication systems
Writing incident reports
Addressing security incidents
Responding to emergency situations
Required Qualifications
Two years of security experience
Valid Washington State driver’s license
Pass a comprehensive background check
High school diploma or GED certificate
Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in de-escalating challenging situations
Strong judgment and communication skills
