Travel Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Auburn, WA 98001 (Seattle metropolitan area)
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: January 31, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Scrubs: Teal scrubs provided
• EMR System: EPIC
• Unit Details: 20 beds (12 Labor & Delivery, 8 postpartum/antepartum), 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 ORs, 6-bed Level II NICU
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2140 - $2290

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Washington preferred for local candidates)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience, including at least 1 year in LDRP
• Current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Proficient in cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidural administration, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin
• Skilled in postpartum care from transition to discharge for mothers and newborns
• Required: Ability to circulate C-sections; scrub experience is a plus
• Experience in baby catching/receiving, APGAR scoring, and breastfeeding support
• Multilingual skills (Russian/Spanish) are highly desirable
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Perform cervical exams, manage antepartum and labor patients, and conduct amnio infusions
• Administer epidurals, monitor fetal well-being, initiate IVs, and manage Pitocin administration
• Provide exceptional postpartum care, supporting mothers and babies through discharge
• Circulate for C-section procedures and assist in the operating room as needed
• Receive and assess newborns, perform APGAR scoring, and offer breastfeeding education and support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document all care accurately using EPIC EMR
