Job Description
Join MUSC Community Physicians as a Certified Medical Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in patient care by performing multi-skilled tasks and supporting a patient-centered approach. Your responsibilities will include patient interviews, vital sign measurements, and assisting in examinations under physician direction.
Key Responsibilities
Interview patients and measure vital signs
Record information in patients' medical records
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
Execute therapeutic procedures as directed by a physician
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited medical assisting program
Certified through AMT, AAMA, NHA, or MedCA as a CCMA or CMA
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
One year of patient care experience
