Join Dell Medical School as an Advanced Practice Provider in Pediatric Neurosurgery, where you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care for pediatric patients with neurological conditions. Key Responsibilities
Provide care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses in the neurosurgical service
Oversee patient clinical records, labs, and imaging
Conduct health history and physical assessments of pediatric patients
Coordinate preoperative evaluations for surgical patients
Participate in daily rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team
Manage communications between healthcare teams and patients
Participate in clinical trials and quality improvement projects
Engage in community outreach and education efforts
Assist in administrative tasks such as staff training and budget planning
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program or Physician Assistant's program
Active RN and APRN license in Texas or PA license in Texas
Active board certification as an Acute Care Pediatric NP or PA
Active DEA license or ability to apply for it
Current CPR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience in pediatric neurosurgical practice
Experience with large research projects and clinical trials
