• Unit: ER
• Beds: 14 total
  • 3 Fast Track
  • 2 Internal Holding
  • 2 Trauma/Code Bays
  • 1 Behavioral Health Holding Room (up to 4 patients)
• Daily Volume: 220–250 visits/day
• Common Diagnoses:
  • High pediatric population (~70%)
  • Sepsis, Behavioral Health, Alcohol/ETOH, Underserved populations
• Environment: High-stress, high-acuity, high-crime area
  • Preparedness for disaster management and code silvers required
  • Strong situational awareness expected

• Charge RN: Yes (typically non-assigned)
• Nurse Aides/EMTs: Yes – 2 EMTs (7a–7p), 1 EMT (11a–11p)
• Security: 2 officers in ER, 24/7
• Physicians/Mid-Levels:
  • 1 ED MD (6a–6p)
  • 1 ED MD (6p–6a)
  • 4–5 PAs (staggered)
• Additional Support:
  • RT: 24/7
  • Pharmacy: In-house until midnight; remote support overnight
  • Omnicell dispensing system
  • No IV team
  • Phlebotomy + RN for lab draws

• Cerner PowerChart (Cerner experience preferred)

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• COVID-19 Vaccination Required

• Scrub Color: RN – Blue
• Orientation: 3 shifts on the unit
• Vents: Yes
• Telemetry: 8 monitored beds
• Holiday Requirement: 1 major / 1 minor holiday
• Cancellation Policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract
