This position is for a Class A CDL Owner Operator to drive dry van tractor trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes primarily from Houston, TX to the Southeast, averaging 2500-2700 miles weekly. The role emphasizes strict adherence to health and safety standards, proper handling and securing of loads including hazardous materials, and compliance with DOT regulations. Compensation includes hourly demurrage rates, mileage pay, and bi-weekly home time, with additional perks such as bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Houston, TX ! This route runs from Houston, TX to various locations in the Southeast and averages 2500-2700 miles per week.

About the role:

• Average $200-250K per year
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes all on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
