Job Description

The Head of EGDS Innovation and Center of Excellence will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing decision-making in drug development through innovative statistical methodologies and strategic collaborations. This position aims to enhance patient care and accelerate drug development by leveraging quantitative science expertise and fostering partnerships across various R&D functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior leadership in innovative statistical approaches
  • Lead R&D-level initiatives requiring EGDS expertise
  • Drive development and scaling of advanced statistical tools
  • Strengthen internal collaborations to accelerate drug development
  • Translate EG&DS functional strategies into value-based roadmaps
  • Optimize processes for resource allocation
  • Serve as a bridge between strategic goals and functional expertise
  • Ensure high standards of statistical rigor and data integrity
  • Create pathways for career growth in the team
  • Drive strategic external collaborations and maintain partnerships
  • Develop and communicate a vision for biostatistics

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Mathematical Statistics, Biostatistics or other quantitative science discipline
  • Minimum of 12 years of industry experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced statistical methodologies
  • Strong leadership and management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in emerging technologies in data science and AI/ML
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to statistical analyses in clinical trials
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain external networks and collaborations
