Job Title: RN - Abortion Care & Recovery (Pre-Op, Intra-Op, PACU) Location: Vinton, VA Pay Rate: $30/Hr - $40/Hr Shift Duration: 12x4 Job type : PRN Position Summary: We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a reputable medical facility in Vinton, VA. This part-time role is ideal for professionals committed to supporting patients before, during, and after abortion procedures. You’ll be part of a supportive care team that prioritizes patient dignity, safety, and individualized treatment. If you're experienced in IV placement and thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities: - Monitor patient conditions and assess care needs throughout their visit.
- Assist in medication administration and IV placement.
- Support patients before, during, and after abortion procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and fellow nurses to implement care plans.
- Administer emergency interventions and provide PACU support.
- Educate patients and families about post-procedure care and medication.
- Maintain hygiene and safety protocols, including decontamination and sanitation.
- Perform standard clinical tasks (e.g., BP checks, injections, documentation).
- Foster a respectful and compassionate care environment.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required).
- High School Diploma (Required).
- RN License valid in the state of Virginia (Required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IV placement.
- Experience in pre-op, intra-op, and PACU care related to abortion procedures.
- Proven knowledge in emergency care and patient assessment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification.
