Job Description

Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator, where you'll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring accurate and compassionate care. You'll play a crucial role in obtaining and verifying patient information while providing essential support to improve health outcomes in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for patients and families
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of demographic information into the ADT system
  • Verify patient information and insurance details
  • Meet CMS billing requirements and document compliance
  • Collect and enter required data with emphasis on accuracy
  • Provide necessary printed material to patients
  • Document patient conversations regarding financial liabilities

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with requesting and processing financial payments
  • Beginner level of proficiency working with computers/data entry
  • Ability to work from 6:00pm – 4:30am, Thursday - Sunday

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working in a hospital Patient Registration department or healthcare insurance company
  • General understanding of insurance policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
