Key Responsibilities
Provides management oversight for multiple nursing neighborhoods
Acts as a resource to staff regarding administrative programs and policies
Promotes collaboration with physicians and other healthcare disciplines
Analyzes problems and offers recommendations for resolution
Investigates unusual situations/incidents and takes appropriate follow-up action
Communicates events requiring administrative attention to the Director of Nursing
Develops and implements an infection prevention and control program
Conducts investigations of incidents and maintains logs
Evaluates and disciplines staff as necessary
Provides education related to infection prevention and control principles
Required Qualifications
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Current RN license in the state of employment
Three to four years of recent nursing experience
Demonstrated administrative and supervisory competency
Communication, organization, and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent
One year management experience
Completed specialized training in infection prevention and control
