Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The quality coordinator's objective is to ensure that all cements are available in the appropriate quantities and when shipped are tested and meet the applicable standards, agency requirements, and plant quality targets.

The position is responsible for the collection, interpretation and presentation of quality data for raw, intermediate, and finished materials. The quality coordinator supervises the day to day activities and scheduling of the raw material handling operation to achieve production goals for consistent high quality clinker and cement. This is to be done safely, at the lowest possible cost, while maintaining equipment integrity.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Ensures compliance of all finished products with MQO's, NSF, ASTM, AASHTO, and Customer Contract Specifications.
  • Ensures the compliance of the products at all phases of the process.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining ISO based Quality Management System
  • Ensures the compiling, reporting and accuracy of quality assurance/quality control data.
  • Ensures the reliability and proper calibration of all laboratory equipment.
  • Leads the investigation of any quality incident.
  • Performs statistical analysis of instrument control samples, quality control and quality assurance data.
  • Responsible for assessing, submitting and managing laboratory CAPEX improvements.
  • Manages laboratory budget.
  • Serves as the plant Radiation Safety Officer
  • Supervise material handlers. Organize schedule and coverage, and train and develop department team members according to plant development plan.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and

    behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Field of Study Preferred: Chemistry, Engineering

Required Work Experience: 3-5 years

Travel Requirements: 5%

Required Computer and Software Skills: Strong computer software skills (spreadsheet and/or database) required, SAP
experience a plus.

Additional Requirements:
  • Able to thoroughly analyze situations or processes from different perspectives
  • Able to independently determine discrepancies in trends or numerical data, investigate and resolve
  • Knowledge of cement manufacturing process, materials receipt, and procurement preferred
  • Knowledge of budgeting process
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
