Job Description Summary:

This position is for an outpatient Radiation Oncology nurse who works under the supervision of the Manager of Radiation Oncology. The R Nprimary job function is to perform patient assessments, data collection, patient/family education, community education, address disparities and barriers to care for patients, coordination of resources and assist physicians in examinations.

We are a large team of 40+ professionals, including nurses, radiation therapists, medical dosimetrists, physicists and doctors. We are one of the busiest Radiation Oncology hubs in central Ohio with a lot of opportunities to grow your skills in the exciting world of Oncology. Our team boasts exceptional quality of care and patient experience to our patients. We offer comprehensive radiation oncology services to our patients from their consultation to scanning, planning and delivering high level personalized treatments thanks to our cutting edge equipment. Responsibilities And Duties:

30% Assessment/Diagnosis
Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.


30% Outcomes Identification/Planning
Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.


20% Implementation/Evaluation
Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.


10% Leadership
Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.


10% Operations

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing

Additional Job Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • (BSN required at 5 years of employment)
  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS recommended
