Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality treatment programs to patients
  • Evaluate physical status and functional abilities of patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide documentation and patient handouts
  • Maintain professional competency and participate in continuing education
  • Demonstrate time management and productivity standards
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of hand/upper extremity experience
  • Graduate of accredited program in Occupational Therapy
  • Occupational Therapist License (in the state where care is provided)
  • Basic Life Support within 2 months of hire
  • Automated External Defibrillator
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology
  • Basic to moderate computer skills to complete documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR certification
  • Orthopedic skills
  • Group dynamics
  • Knowledge of patient assessment and treatment specific to patient load
  • CHT or interest in pursuing specialization
  • Willingness to mentor staff
