Talent4Health is seeking a travel Cardiac Sonographer for a travel job in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Responsibilities
• Perform non-invasive echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound studies
• Follow established protocols to produce the highest-quality diagnostic images
• Obtain accurate patient history prior to each test
• Ensure appropriate documentation for all exams performed
• Assess whether order revisions are needed based on ultrasound findings
• Explain procedures clearly to patients, families, and care team members
• Maintain strong client and team relationships through excellent patient care
• Manage workflow efficiently, including add-ons and emergency exams
• Prepare patients and coordinate with nursing units for timely transport
• Maintain clean and stocked work areas
• Report equipment issues and ensure safe operation of all systems
• Follow Quality Control standards and participate in process improvement
• Participate in peer review activities as required
• Stay current with new protocols, clinical advancements, and CE requirements
• Attend department meetings and complete required hospital education
Required Skills
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with hospital leadership, physicians, and technologists
• Up-to-date knowledge of cardiac/vascular sonography technologies
• Working knowledge of accreditation, credentialing, and QA procedures
• Basic understanding of imaging configuration, DICOM standards, networking, and EMR integration
Job Requirements
Experience:
• Minimum 2+ years of ECHO experience
• Advanced transthoracic echocardiography skills required
• Experience performing non-invasive echocardiography (and vascular, if applicable)
Licenses & Certifications:
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or
• CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• BLS (American Heart Association)
Education:
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Training Program
• Must maintain continuing education per ARDMS, CCI, ICAVL, and ICAE standards
