Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician, where you will ensure our outside plant facilities operate at peak efficiency. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining plant facilities while working on America’s fastest and most reliable network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
