CT Technologist - CT Tech
Job Details:
• Work 8-hour evening shifts from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required • No holiday requirements or call/standby responsibilities • Must have minimum one year CT experience - required • Emergency room/hospital experience required • Trauma center experience preferred • Must be comfortable floating between X-ray and CT departments • Perform CT scans including strokes, traumagrams, heads, chest/abdomen/pelvis • Conduct X-ray studies including chest X-rays, extremity work, and C-arm cases • Handle approximately 100 exams per day between X-ray and CT • Work with Siemens 128 slice scanners, Carestream portables and DR room equipment, and OEC C-arms • Use Merge PACS and Cerner EMR systems • Required certifications: BLS, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT), Fluoroscopy, LA City Fire & Safety • California DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY & FLUOROSCOPY certification required • Dress code: turquoise scrubs for main department, blue scrubs for OR (provided onsite)• 3 days of department-specific orientation provided • No IV starting required - nurses available in departmentFacility:
This acute care medical facility features a comprehensive radiology department with advanced imaging capabilities including 2 CT scanners, 5 DR portables, 1 DR radiology room, and OEC C-arms. The facility maintains radiologists on-site from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and operates with multiple team leads throughout different shifts to ensure quality patient care. The department handles a high volume of imaging studies and provides both routine and emergency radiology services.
