Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our facilities operate at peak efficiency. With a focus on teamwork and commitment to excellence, you'll be integral to maintaining and enhancing our outdoor infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items up to 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
