Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the vision and strategy for growing distribution with external financial intermediaries
  • Drives achievement of strategic objectives and execution to grow sales and market share
  • Identifies emerging market trends and leverages insights into actionable recommendations
  • Develops and nurtures relationships with external institutional distributors
  • Oversees distributor and supplier due diligence and program deployment
  • Provides executive oversight of program and project management
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and each distributor
  • Builds and oversees a team of employees for the assigned functional area
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified and monitored

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience
  • 10 years of progressive experience in business development or business relationship management
  • 6 years of people leadership experience
  • Experience in prospecting and closing institutional distribution relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to lead business relationship management and product development
  • Experience leading a P&L and operating within regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience as a cost-conscious innovator
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Senior executive-level business acumen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Annuity product experience
  • Product Management experience within Retirement Products
  • Executive level experience in the financial services industry
  • CFP certification
