Key Responsibilities
Oversees the management of assigned operational functions
Provides leadership in promoting childhood nutrition and accountability of capital and operating funds
Directs execution of the capital improvement program for construction of new schools and renovation of existing schools
Serves as an advocate for supplier and contractor diversity
Prepares and controls annual departmental operation budgets
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, building construction, construction engineering, business management, architecture, or a related field
Ten years of experience in facilities management, design, construction, or related areas
Demonstrated successful leadership and managerial experience
Experience preparing and presenting technical and management information to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, business, financial management, public administration, or related field
Registration as a professional engineer or architect in North Carolina, or qualification to attain registration within one year of employment
