Key Responsibilities
Assist in design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
Coordinate efforts with other workers installing and maintaining equipment
Consult with operators, supervisors, and engineers for system layout and problem resolution
Determine feasibility of using standardized equipment and develop specifications
Study blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine installation procedures
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
Inspect components for accurate assembly and defects
Advise management on hazardous equipment operation
Maintain equipment logs
Troubleshoot problems and perform repairs
Work extended shifts as needed
Adhere to safety rules and regulations
Required Qualifications
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
18 years or older
Physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
Ability to work in elevated areas
Must be able to operate machinery
Must be able to read/write English
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer skills including data entry and retrieval
Ability to work overtime
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
Must be able to perform electrical maintenance trade
Experience with blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Must be able to operate mobile equipment
High degree of mechanical aptitude
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Willing to work in inclement conditions and extreme temperatures
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a plant environment
Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers
Experience using electrical test equipment for analysis and troubleshooting
Knowledge of the National Electric Code
Mechanical aptitude to work from all types of blueprints and manuals
Apprentice, Journeyman or above license with the state of Nebraska or equivalent
A 2-year degree in electromechanical, electrical system, or equivalent
