DescriptionSummary:
Polysomnographic technologists administer various sleep studies to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders through an outpatient setting. Performs routine assessments, scores sleep studies, documents other test results, and collects specimens for analysis when applicable. Applies recording devices to the patient, cleans/sterilizes equipment, and maintains sleep lab area with minimal supervision. Recognizes sleep pathology in the lab setting and responds appropriately to protocols within AASM guidelines to ensure proper care and safety to the patient.
