Job Description

Hunter Recruiting is urgently hiring a Medical Assistant for a local contract position in Venice, Florida. The role involves both administrative and direct patient care responsibilities within a clinic setting, requiring experience and specific certifications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering/inputting information into EMR
Taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, and drawing blood
Collaborate closely with Physicians and Nurses
Deliver direct patient care as per active certification
Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards

Required Qualifications

1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA)
Current CPR certification
EMR experience required, specifically eClinical Works (ECW)
Less than 2 years of Professional leadership experience
Team player with excellent communication skills
Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
Experience with MS Outlook
Basic Computer knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma
Bilingual
Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
Experience with Electronic Medical Records
Experience with HEDIS
Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration
Rad tech license (AART)
