Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian to support veterinary care for underserved communities. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality care while fostering a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular 1:1s and feedback
Perform pre-surgery examinations and high-quality spay/neuter procedures
Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas
Schedule staff veterinarians and per diems for optimal coverage
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Possess ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
