Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside plant facilities are in excellent condition. You'll work on America's most reliable network, performing critical tasks to maintain and improve our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant including cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items up to 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
