Job Description

Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and engage in the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of diesel heavy trucks and engines. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate in a company known for its innovative waste management solutions and supportive culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs
  • Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
  • Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment OR training from a recognized trade school
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Meet physical and safety requirements
  • Provide own tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience working as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
  • Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool, Allison transmission, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, and Paccar
  • Knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
