Key Responsibilities
Provides management oversight for multiple nursing neighborhoods
Acts as a resource to staff regarding administrative programs and policies
Promotes collaboration with physicians and healthcare disciplines
Analyzes problems and offers recommendations
Investigates unusual situations and takes follow-up action
Communicates events requiring administrative attention to the Director of Nursing
Assesses staffing requirements and ensures safe resident care
Develops and implements infection prevention and control programs
Conducts investigations of incidents and maintains logs
Provides education related to infection prevention and control principles
Required Qualifications
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Current RN license in the state of employment
Three to four years of recent nursing experience
Demonstrated administrative and supervisory competency
Communication, organization, and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent
Completed specialized training in infection prevention and control
One year management experience
