Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and participate in major cancer research projects
  • Develop and implement research protocols and grant proposals
  • Review and analyze research data
  • Compile and submit project results to principal investigator or Director of Surgical Research
  • Assist trainees in preparation of research papers and reports
  • Design and develop equipment for research
  • Supervise training of lab personnel
  • Confer with external groups on research progress
  • Supervise a large group of employees performing technical work
  • Apply for research grants

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D., MD, or MD/PhD or equivalent
  • Experience in leading independent research projects
  • Translational cancer research experience
  • Mentoring and training experience
  • Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Lung Cancer, GI Cancer, or Breast Cancer
  • Expertise in kinase signaling and drug resistance
  • Proficiency in molecular techniques including bioimaging, flow cytometry, and animal models
