Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, coordinate, and participate in major cancer research projects
Develop and implement research protocols and grant proposals
Review and analyze research data
Compile and submit project results to principal investigator or Director of Surgical Research
Assist trainees in preparation of research papers and reports
Design and develop equipment for research
Supervise training of lab personnel
Confer with external groups on research progress
Supervise a large group of employees performing technical work
Apply for research grants
Required Qualifications
Ph.D., MD, or MD/PhD or equivalent
Experience in leading independent research projects
Translational cancer research experience
Mentoring and training experience
Project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Lung Cancer, GI Cancer, or Breast Cancer
Expertise in kinase signaling and drug resistance
Proficiency in molecular techniques including bioimaging, flow cytometry, and animal models
