Position Summary

Wilson Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented RN to join the Endoscopy team. This role involves providing perioperative care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures such as colonoscopies, EGDs, and bronchoscopies. The ideal candidate is a strong patient advocate who works well in fast-paced procedural environments and collaborates effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including education and consent verification
• Monitor patients during procedures, administer medications, and manage sedation per protocol
• ? Assist physicians during procedures and perform recovery room duties post-procedure
• Maintain a sterile field, adhere to infection control standards, and support equipment setup and troubleshooting
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and surgical team members
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• ? Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• ? Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN or BSN)
• ? Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; endoscopy, PACU, or procedural care preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (or willing to obtain)
