Key Responsibilities
Evaluates, measures, casts, designs, and fits custom-made orthoses
Assesses patient’s condition and determines needed treatment
Communicates with prescribing physician regarding orthosis expectations
Formulates comprehensive treatment plans
Selects appropriate orthoses and provides fitting
Adjusts orthoses for optimal function
Documents all patient contacts as per procedures
Troubleshoots and repairs orthoses as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Certified Orthotist - American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABCOP)
Minimum of 5 years related work experience
Minimum of 1 year managerial/supervisory experience
