Join Community Care Family Medicine as a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. You will play a vital role in patient care, from conducting exams to managing long-term medical needs, all within a supportive team environment that values professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct examinations and write prescriptions under physician supervision
Collaborate with physicians in managing patient medical needs
Obtain patient health history and assess status
Order/perform diagnostic and screening tests
Treat illnesses, provide injections, and suture wounds
Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care
Counsel patients/families on preventive health care
Participate in peer reviews and continuing education
Required Qualifications
License and active registration as a physician assistant or registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in physician assistant studies (for PA) or successful completion of a nurse practitioner education program (for NP)
Passing grade on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (for PA)
Current certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (for PA) or certification by AANPCB/ANCC (for NP)
Current CPR certification
At least one year of experience as a PA or NP in ambulatory health care
Preferred Qualifications
Three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting (for NP)
