Job Description

Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll support and mentor fellow veterinarians while delivering high-quality veterinary care in underserved communities. You'll lead a dedicated team, ensuring the well-being of animals and enhancing client experiences in a compassionate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
  • Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
  • Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and performance evaluations
  • Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgical procedures
  • Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas
  • Participate in administrative duties such as scheduling staff and attending meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Excellent work attendance record
  • Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire

  • Previous people management experience
