🏥 Registered Nurse (RN) 

Job ID: 70275366
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Guaranteed Hours)
Facility Type: Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) – Select Medical
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours/week
Certifications Required:

  • BLS (prior to first shift)
  • ACLS (CIRH only – prior to first shift)
    Experience Required:
  • Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience
  • ICU or LTACH experience preferred

🔹 Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and evidence-based patient care by following individualized nursing care plans
  • Supervise and delegate appropriately to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees
  • Complete a full nursing assessment on each patient within 8 hours of admission
  • Use assessment data to develop personalized care and education plans
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
  • Communicate patient status effectively during Team Conferences and between care providers
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rehabilitation programs
  • Initiate patient teaching and discharge planning from the day of admission
  • Ensure continuity of care by reporting status changes to physicians and charge nurses
  • Consult with senior nurses on complex cases or clinical decisions
  • Maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies
  • Take initiative to monitor and request needed supplies or equipment
  • Serve as charge nurse when required, after completing orientation
  • Provide leadership and calm direction during shift to staff and families
  • Promote cost-effective care with an emphasis on positive outcomes
  • Participate in unit team-building activities for a supportive work environment
  • Take responsibility for own professional growth through CEUs and self-study
