Join Walt Disney World Resort as a Facilities Quality Engineer, where you'll ensure the safety and quality of critical life safety systems. Collaborate with diverse teams to manage quality programs and support innovative projects that contribute to guest and cast member safety.
Key Responsibilities
Support quality programs for various facility assets
Participate in smoke control & emergency power testing
Apply state, local and industry standards for life safety systems
Review system designs for completeness and compliance
Support testing, inspections, and maintenance procedures
Maintain documentation for safe system use
Survey and review documents for accuracy and completeness
Establish relationships with Project Teams and regulators
Provide field engineering support
Support investigations including root cause analysis
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 or more years of experience in Engineering
Knowledge of Building and Fire Codes and NFPA Codes and Standards
Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
Experience with design, installation and commissioning of complex systems
Experience with investigations, root cause analysis, and hazard assessments
Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
Ability to manage, balance, and prioritize different projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work after hours and off-shift hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Specific experience with theme parks, resort hotels, and mixed-use facilities
Knowledgeable in OSHA compliance
Experience with codes and standards development
Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer License (state of Florida)
