Job Description
Join Cargill as an HVAC Technician in Dodge City, KS, where you'll ensure the smooth operation of HVAC systems in a dynamic environment. Be part of a global team committed to sustainable practices and high-quality food production.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Refrigeration, Boiler, and HVAC systems are operating properly through monitoring, PMs and repairs (70%)
Maintain Boiler and refrigeration water chemistry through testing (10%)
Participate in activities with the ammonia PSM program (10%)
Complete miscellaneous tasks and duties assigned (10%)
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Technical degree in HVAC or ammonia refrigeration or equivalent work experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjects
Willingness to participate in various teams such as HAZMAT
Knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, and industrial/electronic controls
Demonstrated troubleshooting effectiveness
Strong ability to identify priorities and adjust as needed
Strong ability to work independently; highly self-motivated, self-directed and results-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Computer skills
RETA/IIAR training and certification
Previous experience with regulated PSM programs
Previous ammonia refrigeration experience
Electrical or mechanical experience
