Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you will evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions, contributing to their overall rehabilitation and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients based on departmental standards
Conduct and modify evaluations based on symptoms and medical status
Establish individualized, measurable goals for each patient
Administer appropriate therapeutic techniques and physical agents
Educate patients/families on home exercise programs
Document in accordance with insurance guidelines
Foster interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Supervise at least one affiliated student per year
Attend continuing education courses
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Current Connecticut license or eligibility
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association or eligibility
Valid driver's license for occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows-based programs
