Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Perform technical nuclear medicine exams accurately and in a timely fashion

• Operate nuclear medicine equipment and radiation detecting equipment

• Transfer and position patients correctly for examinations while providing a safe environment

• Perform and document quality control on all equipment to ensure calibration and regulatory compliance

• Prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and contrast materials

• Maintain accurate records of radioisotope shipping, receiving, use, storage, and disposal per NRC and DEQ policies

• Document room surveys, wipe tests, and bioassays

• Schedule exams, verify physician orders, and send documentation to medical records

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of rooms and equipment

• Stock supplies and linen as needed

• Cross-train in other department technologies as required

• Work directly with patients, internal and external customers, and healthcare professionals

• Minimum 6 months of related experience required

• Must have minimum 5 years' experience, PET experience, and Siemens equipment experience

• Proficiency with Epic, Microsoft Word, and Excel required

• Graduate from AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program required

• CNMT certification or ARRT (N) license required

• CPR certification required

• Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational skills needed

• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required
