Job Description
Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you will evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and supporting their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient's symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year
Participates in continuing education courses
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Current Connecticut license or eligibility for it
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association or eligibility for it
Valid driver's license for occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows-based programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
