Chuy's is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee a high-volume scratch kitchen. The role involves managing staffing, food inventory, food production, and maintaining cleanliness while fostering a fun and diverse team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Manage food cost, waste, staffing, HACCP, production, and cleanliness
Supervise and partner with the Assistant Kitchen Manager
Ensure proper staffing and training of kitchen positions
Maintain food quality and safety procedures
Oversee inventory and ordering
Ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly
Create schedules for kitchen staff
Work within budget to minimize costs and waste
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
Strong culinary knowledge
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales and labor
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual (Spanish)
Familiarity with a variety of kitchen equipment and its maintenance
Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
