**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift**

**Job Type:** Full-Time, 3x12 Hour Shifts
**Schedule:** Every 3rd Weekend Required

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The RN will play a crucial role in maintaining the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed and effectively implemented. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees while fostering a supportive environment for patient safety and overall well-being.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct thorough nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to set goals based on nursing assessments.
- Provide timely patient information for team conferences and maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
- Actively participate in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing patient education throughout the care process.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education as early as the day of admission.
- Ensure effective communication regarding changes in patient status among care providers, including attending physicians and Charge Nurses.
- Supervise, train, and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques and prioritization skills.
- Maintain environmental safety in compliance with hospital and nursing policies.
- Contribute positively to team dynamics by providing calm direction to staff, patients, and families, and participating in team-building activities.
- Communicate regularly with management and senior nursing staff to address supply and equipment needs.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities upon completion of orientation as requested.
- Pursue professional growth and development through continuing education and self-study.
- Prioritize activities effectively to meet patient needs.

**Qualifications:**

- Current RN License.
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to certain positions).
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
